Monis Rahman:Journey From Rozee.pk To Dukan

Monis Rahman is a renowned Pakistani entrepreneur, venture capitalist, and businessman who has made significant contributions to the growth of Pakistan's economy. He is best known as the mastermind behind Rozee.pk, one of the most successful online employment platforms in the country. An international Magazine, Forbes named him at #6 on its list of top "Ten Big Hitting Asian Businessmen under 50".

Through his various ventures, Monis has helped millions of people find employment opportunities and has been instrumental in driving the growth of the technology and e-commerce sectors in Pakistan. 

He started with Naseeb Networks, a parent company of Rozee.pk and now also owns Mihnati.com. In 2013, Naseeb network acquired Saudi Arabian platform Mihati.com, however, did not disclose the amount. He also co-founded Finja - a fintech startup that created Pakistan’s first smartphone mobile wallet called SimSIm and quickly pivoted into digital lending.

With the success of Rozee.pk, Monis didn’t stop. He also initiated another venture Dukan - an e-commerce platform for small businesses. On one occasion, giving an interview he said that ‘’ Money comes when you create value.” He believes that we do have a lot of opportunities in Pakistan and it’s one of the best places for investors. All we have to do is to think Big. 

The idea for Dukan.pk came about after Rahman observed that many small businesses in Pakistan were struggling to compete in the digital age. They lacked the resources and expertise to set up their own online stores and were often overlooked by larger e-commerce platforms. Dukan.pk aims to bridge this gap by providing a user-friendly platform that allows small businesses to create their own online stores and reach a larger audience.

To make the process as simple as possible, Dukan.pk offers a range of tools and resources to help small businesses get started, including customizable templates, built-in payment options, and marketing support. The platform also takes care of logistics and shipping, allowing businesses to focus on what they do best: creating high-quality products and building relationships with their customers.
