Ed Daniels, 22 from University of Bristol working on his own artificial intelligence (AI) app to stop cheats using essay-writing bots. He believes rich students have the privilege of using ChatGPT for academic writing since ChatGPT plus costs $20 and not every student can afford it. It also creates inequality in academics.

So the motive behind the Software is to prevent inequalities in education. He said, “It worries me that some people may not have access to that stuff, so we need to level the playing field.”

The fourth-year student is studying film and television with innovation. He began developing software startup-AIED.UK. His university course asked him to integrate AI with education after a project. He said that when ChatGPT became popular he felt the need to “protect the education system”.

Meanwhile, the software is in the transitional phase, and Daniels believes universities will be using new technologies to detect AI Content. He believes as a student himself he knows how to get around the current available AI Content detectors.

Also, Bristol University supports Dianel work providing grants from student start-up incubators, Runway.Mark Neild, Runway’s programme director, said: “When AIED.UK applied for innovation funding, our judges could see its potential.”
