For many people, traveling to their favorite destinations are their dreams and many people have the bucked list of their desired places, however, like many other things, Pandemic has changed the concept of tourism, and now Virtual reality tourism is slowly taking over.

I was pleasantly surprised by Caroline Davis's article in The Guardian about Virtual Reality Tourism, as it challenged my preconceptions of the technology. Although I had experienced a virtual reality tour during my trip to Washington DC in 2017, I did not enjoy it as it featured violent content that made me uncomfortable.

However, after reading Davis's article, I realized that virtual reality could be a powerful tool for exploring the world in a new and innovative way. Davis's insights have opened my mind to the potential of Virtual Reality Tourism, and I am now excited to explore how this In the midst of the pandemic, many of us are longing to visit our favorite destinations, but may not be able to do so in person. Fortunately, Virtual Reality offers an exciting and innovative way to experience the world from the comfort of our own homes.

Whether you're dreaming of exploring the stunning Taj Mahal in India, wandering through Germany's Neuschwanstein castle, gazing out over the majestic Cliffs of Moher in Ireland, or lounging on the pristine beaches of the Maldives, virtual reality can transport you to these magical places and more. By immersing ourselves in these virtual environments, we can stay connected, active, and entertained, even when we can't travel in person. Virtual reality truly offers a unique and unforgettable way to experience the world around us. technology can enhance my future travel experiences.

Virtual reality is referred to interactive videos and images which enable the users to view and explore the entire 360 degrees of a scene. It captures locations from every direction. 

In the travel industry, virtual reality, travel destinations can be captured in a distinctive way to attract travelers. These videos and images are viewed on a VR headset or mobile device or either computer. 

Many people believe that pandemic has open new opportunities for Virtual Reality, leaving the tourism industry in debris.

People believe that in the time of Covid-19 pandemic, when people are facing an economic crisis, mental health issues, and other depressive living styles without being able to connect with the World, Virtual reality travel is a better way of entertainment. Ralph Hollister, a tourism analyst at Global Data and author of a report on VR’s applications in tourism says that “The impact of Covid-19 may have allowed VR to somewhat shake off its image of being a gimmick in tourism,” 

“The further this pandemic goes on for, the higher the chance that VR may become a valid form of alternative travel as consumers get more used to this technology.”

Steve Perillo boss of Travel World VR, a US-based Virtual reality and 360-degree video marketing and Production Company says VR can whet a potential audience appetite.

 “The momentum has picked up. It’s launched the concept of traveling remotely.”

Since people are moving towards technology in every field, the travel industry is also quickly realizing the importance of adoption and using technology for the travel industry.
